Join an action team

Your Go Beyond Gas journey starts here

The only way we can solve WA’s biggest contribution to the climate crisis is by working together to build an unstoppable social movement.

The Go Beyond Gas movement is tackling the state's biggest climate threat—Woodside’s Burrup Hub mega-gas project. This project threatens to emit 6.1 billion tonnes of emissions by 2070 and endangers local communities and precious ecosystems, including Scott Reef.

Unite with your local Go Beyond Gas community to keep WA gas in the ground and protect the places we love. By joining, you'll stay updated on the latest developments, participate in creative events and public demonstrations, meet with your MP, and engage with local media. These are just a few examples of the fantastic work we see within the community to get a message to decision-makers and stop the dirty new gas developments.

What action teams do we have?

  • Go Beyond Gas Perth
  • Go Beyond Gas Fremantle
  • Go Beyond Gas Joondalup
  • Go Beyond Gas Rockingham

Don't see an action team in your area?

If a Go Beyond Gas action team doesn’t yet exist in your area, you can start your very own action team!

Working together with local community members is the most effective way to engage in active hope. By starting your own local group you’ll be able to draw on the resources, help, and experience of the entire Go Beyond Gas network, whilst learning new skills and meeting like-minded people. Soon you will be meeting your MPs, attending or hosting local events, influencing local change, and moving WA beyond gas! Anyone can start a local group, anywhere in WA, no matter your age, job, background, or ability. You can create an action team based on geographic location or identity (e.g. artists, parents – all ideas are welcome!)
