With Minister Whitby's decision on Woodside's massive gas expansion plans fast approaching, we're gearing up for one final push through to the end of the year!
Woodside’s North West Shelf Extension proposal will soon be on our state Minister for Environment and Climate Action Reece Whitby’s desk to approve or reject. If this proposal goes through, it will result in an additional 4.395 billion tonnes of emissions until 2070 and potentially enable other harmful, polluting projects to go ahead.
Over the last few months, we’ve been engaging with politicians, writing letters and collecting petition signatures calling on Minister Whitby to reject the North West Shelf Extension. Now’s the time for the final push.
Join us in delivering our petition to Minister Whitby with a display of community concern to mount pressure against this project!
We’ll also be hosting a community picnic in Kings Park from 5pm to thank all our wonderful volunteers for all their hard work this year. RSVP for exact picnic location.
We can’t wait to see you there!
(PS. Please sign and share our petition if you haven't already!)
