Australia’s biggest climate decision is imminent! WA Environment Minister Reece Whitby will be deciding to approve or reject the extension of Australia’s oldest and dirtiest gas plant until 2070!
This decision will pave the way for Woodside’s Scott Reef-threatening Browse project, the most polluting part of the Burrup Hub, and mass fracking of the Kimberley.
Extending the project to 2070 will condemn the world to over 6 billion tonnes of carbon emissions from the Burrup Hub.
State Environment Minister Reece Whitby, will be making a decision very soon! Over 700 people wrote to appeal this project. We have to keep applying pressure on him to make the right decision and reject the NWS extension!
We need your help to stop Woodside, so join us online!
The zoom link will be emailed to you once you have rsvp'd.
There will be two 15-minute information briefings at 5pm and 6:30pm. Please jump on the zoom to hear the key updates about NWS!
See you then!
