Western Australia has recently experienced its worst ever marine heatwave from fossil-fueled climate change. Our coral reefs are at risk of being lost forever. 

Fossil gas companies like Woodside are driving this crisis. So why is the West Australian Museum accepting sponsorship from Woodside? 

On Sunday, Woodside is sponsoring an open day at the WA Maritime Museum focused on marine science. But Woodside’s gas expansion plans are a threat to the very ecosystems the event will focus on. 

Woodside plans to drill for gas at Scott Reef, the only reef in WA that is relatively untouched by coral bleaching. We can’t let Woodside sink 50 gas wells near Scott Reef and disrupt precious marine life. 

Join us to mourn for what is lost, fight for what we can save, and send a clear message: We don’t want big gas sponsoring our museum. 

We value our precious cultural institutions, just like we value our oceans. We want Woodside to leave both of them alone.
