Join us for a snap rally to call on Labor to reject the North West Shelf Extension and Browse.
The re-elected Albanese government are holding their first Cabinet meeting in Boorloo/Perth this week. It is so important they hear from West Australians that we want real climate action and that means no gas extensions or new gas projects.
Minister Murray Watt gave provisional approval for the extension to the North West Shelf out to 2070. The fight is not over.
Approval for the North West Shelf and Browse would be a disastrous outcome for our climate and environment.
This decision could pave the way for Woodside’s Scott Reef-threatening Browse project, which includes drilling up to 21 wells within 2 km of the reef to mine the gas from underneath it.
Approval would mean our decision-makers have ignored international climate targets and opposition from a record number of Western Australians who are desperate for a safe and liveable climate.
Australia’s biggest climate decision is about to be made, and we will not let it go unchallenged.
Join us in standing up for our climate at this snap action, and bring a friend. Let's show just how much WA care about our climate and our oceans.
