Join us for a snap action 8am tomorrow Friday 13th outside Woodside HQ to show up for our climate, our communities and WA nature.
ON Friday 13th December at 8am the Perth community will gather for a snap action as WA Environment Minister Reece Whitby has just approved the extension of Australia’s oldest and dirtiest gas plant until 2070.
It is a disastrous outcome as the WA Environment Minister puts Australia’s climate last, approving Woodside's North West Shelf Extension.
This decision could pave the way for Woodside’s Scott Reef-threatening Browse project, the most polluting part of the Burrup Hub, and mass fracking of the Kimberley.
Minister Whitby has ignored international climate targets and opposition from a record number of Western Australians who are desperate for a safe and liveable climate.
Australia’s biggest climate decision has been made at the state level, but the fight is not over.
It is now critical Woodside’s North West Shelf extension is rejected at a federal level!
Join us in standing up for our climate at this snap action, and bring a friend. We will show that WA and Boorloo Perth is opposed to Woodside’s destruction of our oceans and climate.
We need your help to stop Woodside, so come join us!
