Australia’s biggest climate decision is imminent!
The North West Shelf (NWS) is Australia’s oldest, largest and dirtiest gas plant. A decision by the state government on whether to extend this mega-polluting project all the way to 2070 is imminent.
The NWS Project extension would be the biggest new fossil fuel project in the southern hemisphere. Extending the project to 2070 will condemn the world to over 4 billion tonnes of carbon emissions. This is a globally significant amount, equal to more than nine-times Australia’s annual emissions!
State Environment Minister Reece Whitby, will be making a decision soon! We have to keep applying the pressure on him to make sure that he is compelled to reject the NWS!
That's why we need YOUR help to pressure the key decision makers into making the right choice for our futures!
Call Reece Whitby, Tanya Plibersek and Premier Cook's offices to ensure decision-makers don't forget that WA community want state and federal government to reject the NWS extension, block the Browse project and Save Scott Reef!
