Planet earth is becoming uninhabitable and the ability to correct course lies with us.
With the support of Go Beyond Gas, the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) is a coming together with people from diverse backgrounds, including people who have heard the call of stewardship to care for the earth with the values of their faith.
Time is running out. The time to act is now.
ARRCC WA invites you to join in this vigil on Wednesday 23rd July at 1230 outside Woodside HQ to stand together in prayer and/or thoughts of deep love for the earth whilst we call on Woodside to drop their gas expansion plans for the Burrup Hub.
Woodside is negotiating with the federal government over conditions on its North West Shelf fossil gas extension, while also seeking approval to drill for Browse gas beneath Scott Reef.
Environment Minister Murray Watt refuses to consult publicly on the North West Shelf conditions, but we can be a voice for the earth and for all those impacted by the climate crisis.
This will be the third instalment in the revitalised Woodside Wednesdays series, keeping up the pressure on Woodside and Labor, and showing how a diverse range of Australians reject their plans for fossil fuel expansion.
Bring along placards, signs and banners, or just yourself.
